Freebie of the Week - Istanbul inspired
Do you know I scheduled these freebies weeks in advance? I wonder if there's any posts in between them. I hope there are. I mean, I'm kinda embarrassed of my blog archive. I get so easily distracted. Where was I? Oh. The freebie. Yeah, I took this photo in Istanbul last year. Istanbul is a magical place, seriously. If I wanted, I could probably make a whole book of magical colour schemes inspired by Istanbul. Wait, did I just get an idea for a book? BRB!
PS Free for commercial or any other silly use. If this helps you make money, hell, I'm glad. But if you manage to make millions of it, can you at least send me on a nice vacation? I love travelling and I promise to send you more travel inspired colour schemes ;)

Inspired by music (and pure awesomeness)
You know what feels really good? Getting a blood rush as you listen to an awesome song, and then getting a chance to design an album cover for it. And then getting another blood rush because of that.
I'm surrounded by incredibly talented people and sometimes we create some fun things together. Like this album cover for Hristina Vukovic's first single Deep waters that wouldn't look as good without Hana JJ's photo ;)

Freebie of the Week - Even though I highly doubt there's anyone who reads this 'blog'
You know the drill: Free for you to use in any way you can imagine. If you want to cover a building with it or blow your nose into a print of it, knock yourself out. If you want to use it for something that's actually useful, that'a allowed as well. Photo's also mine, so go ahead, create something fun with it.

Freebie of the Week - Another Colour Scheme
Here's another colour scheme for your enjoyment, inspiration, dreams and aspirations.. Took that one a bit too far, sorry. Anyways, absolutely free for you to use in any way possible. Photo's also mine, so you have nothing to worry about.

The Most Exciting Thing to Happen This Year!*
*if you're me. My life's not all that exciting, ok?
'What could it be?', you wonder (or not, because you only came across this blog by accident and will be leaving soon). Well, let me tell you! My business cards arrived today! I've ordered them from Moo.com and they travelled all the way from London to Belgrade (where I am at the moment). And they're not just any business cards! They're from their LUXE edition. Fancy shmancy, I know! They're 3x thicker than their regular business cards, with this lovely deep red as a middle layer and they feel divine! I'm a graphic designer, I'm allowed to overreact when talking about business cards.
Here are some pics (taken with my phone, sorry).

I like photography and I like colours..
..So I decided to put my skills to a good use and create a colour scheme based on a photo I took in Tunisia 2 years ago. Feel free to share it and use it for anything you might like (it's free for commercial use too). Linking back to me is appreciated, but not necessary ;)

Wonderful Vintage Posters

Mercedes Manz Ag, Bamberg, circa 1930 70 x 43 cm |
Every now and then our library at the uni gives away withdrawn books and today I was lucky enough to find something more exciting than literature on business, economics and other topics I'm not interested enough to read 800 pages on. I found these absolutely amazing vintage poster catalogues by Christie's Auction House. Do you know how happy stuff like this makes me? Very happy. Do you know what makes me even happier? Finding beautiful postcards in those catalogues. Yes, I'm a total sucker for postcards, especially if they are vintage. Year 1992 counts as vintage, right? Even if it doesn't, I'm completely in love with them. Where was I? Oh yeah, posters.

Zoologischer Garten Zurich Otto Baumberger, 1929 127 x 90 cm |
Isn't it amazing how creative and technically hard to produce these posters are? Some of them are from 1800s, which means everything, EVERYTHING was hand-done. Have you ever tried drawing typography so precisely that it looks like it was printed out? I have. Guess what? It's not easy. AT ALL.

La Menthe-Pastille Leonetto Cappielo, circa 1929 160 x 121 cm |

Odeon Casino Walter Schnackenberg, 1911 127 x 89 cm |
I only scanned the ones shown in postcards, because when I started flipping through catalogues I couldn't really make my mind. There's so many of them ( I got 12 catalogues ) and they are so fascinating it's really hard to chose, so I will probably post them little by little, theme by theme. Since most of us aren't lucky enough to have about $2 000 to spend on a poster ( which I don't think is unreasonable price for something like this), I want to make a little collection on my own online for everyone to enjoy. I'm just that nice ;)
Enjoy!
