On our way to Sahara, during my holiday in Tunisia, we made a short break at Mahrés- a small town by the Mediterranean sea, known for nothing except fishing. At the first glance it seems rather dull and unimpressive, but that is only until you reach the shore. Once you are at the beach you become mesmerised by wonderful sculptures made mostly of scrap metal, building a track along the coast as far as the eye reaches.
As our guide informed us, once a year artists from all over the world gather in this nothing-but-ordinary place to create something incredible. Unfortunately, I couldn't find any information about this festival online, at least not in languages I understand. All I have are these photos I took during those half an hour of break.
